Introduction

Welcome to the Privacy Policy for the Habit Jars app.

This page explains how information is handled when you use the App. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not use Habit Jars.

This application is published and operated by Florent PERILLAT-BOTTONET, a French sole proprietor (micro-entrepreneur) registered in France under SIREN 879 769 578 (hereafter referred to as "the Publisher").

Information Collection, Use, and Storage

All content you generate within the App for its core functionality is private.

This data is stored locally on your Apple devices and, when you are signed in to iCloud, synchronized through your personal iCloud account. The Publisher does not have access to this data.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Jars you create (name, color, display order)
• Marbles you add to jars (count and timestamps)
• Streak settings and reminder times
• Profile name and profile photo (optional)
• App preferences

This information is not collected, stored, or processed by the Publisher and remains under the protection of Apple's security and privacy systems.

Photos

If you choose to add a profile photo, you select the image yourself through the system photo picker. The App receives only the image you selected and does not access the rest of your photo library.

The selected image is stored on your device. Your profile photo may also be stored in your iCloud key-value store (compressed and limited to approximately 900 KB) so it can appear on your other devices. Photos are never uploaded to a server controlled by the Publisher.

Notifications

Habit Jars uses local notifications only, scheduled on your device for the habit reminders you set up. The App does not use push notifications and does not communicate with a remote notification server.

You can grant or revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Widget

The Habit Jars widget reads a small snapshot of your jars (name, color, marble count, and display order) from a shared container on your device, so it can render on your Lock Screen or Home Screen. This snapshot stays on your device — no data leaves your device for the widget to function.

In-App Purchases

Habit Jars offers an optional one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Publisher does not receive your payment details.

To manage entitlements (verifying that you have an active purchase, restoring purchases, etc.), the App uses RevenueCat as a purchase-management provider. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated App User ID and your App Store transaction receipt. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or other directly identifying information from the App.

Technical and Diagnostic Information

The Publisher does not collect technical or diagnostic information directly from the App.

If you have enabled "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings, Apple may share aggregated and anonymized analytics and crash reports with the Publisher through App Store Connect. This information does not personally identify you and is used solely to improve app stability and address bugs. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings.

Voluntary Contact Information

If you contact the Publisher directly by email or other means, the Publisher may receive personal information such as your email address and the content of your message.

This information is used solely to respond to your request or provide support and is never shared with third parties.

Unless you request otherwise, the Publisher may contact you in the future regarding updates, new features, or changes to this Privacy Policy.

Access and Control Over Your Information

You may contact the Publisher at any time to:

• Request confirmation of whether personal data about you is held
• Request correction or deletion of any personal data provided voluntarily
• Express concerns regarding the handling of your data

Data Security

The Publisher takes reasonable measures to protect any information voluntarily provided.

All core app data remains secured by Apple's device-level and iCloud security systems and is not accessible to the Publisher.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Publisher reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time.

Any changes will be effective upon publication within the App or on the associated website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
